The TIF Commercial & Industrial Rehabilitation Program assists building and business owners in making investments in commercial and industrial spaces in select TIF Districts in the City of Rockford. The City will offer a percentage in matching funds up to $25,000 in assistance to property owners and/or tenants for permanent building improvements. The program is available in the following TIF Districts (these are established areas, maps can be viewed on the website) Auburn Street TIF, Broadway TIF, East River TIF, E. State & Alpine TIF, E. State & Mulford TIF, Midtown TIF, and N Main & Auburn TIF. Each of the identified TIF Districts has $150,000 in available funds available on a first-come-first-serve basis (for approved projects).
