Aggravated Battery with a Firearm

On Friday, February 8, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 800 Marchesano Dr. reference an Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. During the investigation it was learned the victim was the passenger in a vehicle which was west bound at 500 Indiana Ave.  Another vehicle passed the victim’s vehicle east bound when the occupants of the victim’s vehicle heard several gunshots.  The victim was struck once and suffered from a single gunshot wound to the leg.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  No one else in the victim’s vehicle was injured.

Suspect vehicle was described as a car with tinted windows last seen east bound from the scene.

Aggravated Discharge

On Tuesday February 5, 2019 at about 0125 hours Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the area of 400 Oakley Ave. reference shots fired.  Upon arrival Officers located a residence struck by gunfire.  No one was injured.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockford Police or Winnebago County Crime Stoppers.

Reckless Discharge

On 01/23/2019 Rockford Police Officers responded to 4224 Auburn Street Rockford, Illinois in response to a Shotspotter alert for five shots fired.  Officers located seven spent casings in the south parking lot of this apartment complex.  Officers did not locate anything struck by the gunfire and no victims were located.  A neighborhood check was conducted with several people hearing the gunshots but not seeing any suspects.
