Chestnut Street Bridge Active Transportation Enhancements
The developments on each side of the Rock River along the Chestnut/Walnut Street corridor makes this bridge not only a vital connection for vehicles, but for cyclists and pedestrians as well. This project will include engineering and construction of a more active transportation friendly facility along the bridge, providing a safer barrier between vehicles and other roadway users. The project is to be designed and constructed in 2018, using Motor Fuel Tax funds.
