Erin Hannigan

Attorney Hannigan serves in the litigation division, primarily focused on blight reduction.  She handles all litigation regarding demolitions, code compliance, and foreclosures for the City.  Prior to her position with the City, Attorney Hannigan was an Assistant Public Defender with Winnebago County for over 17 years and brings with her extensive trial and courtroom experience.
 
Attorney Hannigan obtained her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2002 and a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 2005.  She is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois.  She is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association, Illinois Defense Counsel, Illinois Local Government Association, and the General and Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois.  Additionally, she was an invited member of the National Trial Lawyers – Top 100.
