CDBG – Economic Development

The City of Rockford utilizes a portion of its federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to support economic development activities that create and retain jobs, strengthen neighborhoods, and expand opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. Funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this program provides flexible financial assistance to businesses and organizations undertaking projects that contribute to local economic growth.
