Rockford Fire Explorers Post 413 offers High School students in the Rockford area, who are interested in Fire and EMS service, the opportunity to see first-hand the day-to-day operations of this profession. Students are trained in Fire and EMS procedures including First Aid, CPR, Fire Attack, Search and Rescue, Ladders and Equipment, Hose line suppression, pumping operations, strategy & tactics, professionalism, courage, teamwork, and more. Fire and Emergency Medical Services are fast-paced and exciting. If you would like to learn how to help your neighbors, community, and people in critical need then give us a call. This might be a career for you to start training for. The Rockford Fire Department is regarded as one of the top Departments in the country. We follow and utilize the National Explorers group rules and guidelines. All students are taught in the classroom and with hands-on tactical skills.
