An annual license expiring on August 31st.
This license applies to all individuals and entities that want to engage in or operate an adult entertainment business or establishment within the City of Rockford. There are specific requirements that must be adhered to before a license can be approved. See Code sections 5.531 through 5.543 for further information.
To obtain a license, complete the Adult Entertainment License Application and return with all supporting documentation and the appropriate license fee to the Payment Center at City Hall. The applicant must also successfully complete a background check. The license will be issued upon approval of the application.
Compliance with all laws, ordinances, and regulations of the City of Rockford, including all building, zoning, and fire regulations as well as State of Illinois statutes applicable to such a licensed business or device, is mandatory.
